Results

Because it focuses on specific surnames, the project has results mainly for short-tandem repeat (STR) markers from Y-DNA (male-line descendants). As DNA tests are becoming more comprehensive and less expensive, however, the project increasingly has results for other types of markers (e.g., Y-DNA single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP)) and DNA (autosomal, mitochondrial).
